Security Provider from Cologne for Property, Event, and Reception Security
Our expertise and discretion shape how we deliver security services for clients in Cologne and across North Rhine-Westphalia — from property and site security to event security to reception services.
Our history and growth
Founded with the aim of combining security and trust, Safe Cologne has grown and established itself steadily within the security industry. Today, we rely on vetted personnel qualified under §34a GewO — from property and site security to event security to reception services.
Safe Cologne SEC has been active in Cologne since 2023. The company behind the name is Safe Cologne Sec UG (haftungsbeschränkt), entered in the commercial register at the Amtsgericht Köln. Full company details are in our legal notice (in German).
What we do for you
We protect businesses, construction sites, and events in Cologne and North Rhine-Westphalia. Our services: property & site security, event security, reception services, construction site security, plant security (Werkschutz) and doorman service. The individual service pages are in German; see our service overview in English.
Working with us starts with your inquiry: you describe the site, timeframe, and requirements, and we draw up a tailored security concept with a fair quote.
Permit, qualification, and insurance
Safe Cologne SEC holds the Bewachungserlaubnis under §34a GewO, the permit German law requires for security services; the competent supervisory authority is the Bezirksregierung Köln. Our deployed personnel are:
- qualified under §34a GewO (Unterrichtung or Sachkunde)
- entered in the Bewacherregister, the German guard register
- trained in first aid
- briefed on each site and given service instructions (Dienstanweisung)
We also maintain business liability insurance (Betriebshaftpflicht). Coverage amounts and a confirmation of insurance are available on request.

Learn for the §34a exam for free
Our learning site for the §34a exam (in German) lets you study and practise free of charge and without an account: practice questions with solutions and explanations, a mock quiz, and a study plan. These are exam-style practice questions by Safe Cologne SEC, not official IHK exam questions.
